Bridgestone India brings doorstep healthcare services to 21 villages in Pune

Bridgestone India, a global leader in tyres and rubber providing solutions for safe and sustainable mobility, today announced the launch of its healthcare initiative Aarogyam that is aimed at providing doorstep health care services for 21 villages in Khed Taluka of Pune district. Under the Aarogyam initiative, a mobile health care unit equipped with a team of experienced medical and para medical professionals having medicines in stock and with infrastructure for basic lab tests will cater to these village and provide preventive as well as curative healthcare services.

The mobile health care unit supplements Bridgestone India’s ongoing community health outreach programmes. The company has during the pandemic contributed 02 ventilators to one private charitable hospital, 06 non-invasive ventilators to 2 government and 1 private medical facility in Pune district. Along with these 24 oxygen concentrators have been given to 12 government hospitals and 10 are part of the company’s mobile healthcare facility “Wheels for Oxygen”. Bridgestone has been supporting medical infrastructure during the recent COVID wave in and around Pune. The company also contributed towards the setting up of an oxygen plant at Moraya Multi speciality Charitable Hospital, Chinchwadgaon, Pune as well as supporting communities with distribution of PPEs and masks
