Bridgestone EMIA announces changes to sales leadership structure

  • Current VP Commercial Replacement and OE, Steven De Bock, will become VP Consumer Replacement and OE; current VP Consumer OE, Mark Tejedor, has been appointed VP Commercial Replacement and OE
  • Mirella Cielo leaves EMIA region to become President Consumer Replacement Tire Sales, U.S. and Canada, Bridgestone Americas.
  • Changes will take effect on 1 September 2020.

On its journey to become a business that provides advanced mobility solutions, Bridgestone EMIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) has placed a strong focus on growing and empowering its talented global workforce. In another move putting this focus into action, the company is today announcing internal shifts within its sales leadership structure.

Current Bridgestone EMIA VP Commercial Replacement and OE, Steven De Bock, will become VP EMIA Consumer Replacement and OE. Part of Bridgestone since 2002, De Bock has held multiple roles throughout his time within the company, including being responsible for its TBR and retread businesses. In recent years, De Bock and his team have significantly contributed to the success of Bridgestone’s commercial division in growing the company’s position in the truck and bus, agricultural and off-the-road segments. The move has been made by the business to further enhance and deploy its end-to-end strategic priorities within its Consumer Business.

Additionally, current VP EMIA Consumer OE, Mark Tejedor, has been appointed VP EMIA Commercial Replacement and OE. Tejedor joined Bridgestone in 2014 as VP South West Region, before moving to his current position. Within Consumer OE, he has been instrumental in establishing a sustainable mid/long-term OE strategy for the business in EMIA, which included focusing on rich mix segments, ensuring end-to-end value and safeguarding Bridgestone’s future replacement business.

Furthermore, Mirella Cielo, who has been instrumental within Bridgestone EMIA’s Consumer Replacement organisation throughout her three years in the business, is leaving for Bridgestone Americas to become President Consumer Replacement Tire Sales, U.S. and Canada.

Speaking on these changes was Bridgestone EMIA CSO, Daniel Giroud: “I’m delighted to see Steven and Mark progress into their new respective positions. It’s important that we as a business recognise and reward talent and hard work. They have both played starring roles since they arrived in the business, and will continue to do so as our business transforms from a premium tyre business to a leader in mobility solutions. While we’re of course sad to see Mirella leave the region, she remains a key part of Bridgestone; our colleagues in North America are very lucky to have her.”
