Bridgestone EMIA promotes VP Retail Operations Daniel Giroud

to Chief Sales Officer

  • Part of Bridgestone EMIA since 2015, Giroud has led the turnaround in performance of the business’s retail operations.
  • Outgoing Chief Sales Officer, Riccardo Cichi, will be returning to the USA to become Chief Sales Officer of Bridgestone North America.
  • The move will be effective from 16 March 2020.

On its journey to become a global leader in advanced mobility solutions for a world in motion, Bridgestone has today announced a new change to its senior leadership team. Effective 16 March 2020, current Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Bridgestone EMIA, Riccardo Cichi will be leaving his role after three years to join Bridgestone North America as CSO. Cichi’s replacement is Daniel Giroud, current VP Retail Operations, Bridgestone EMIA, and CEO and President of First Stop Europe.

A key part of Bridgestone EMIA since joining the business in 2015, Giroud has over 20 years of retail-focused experience, having worked in leadership positions across numerous brands and industries, including COO of Marionnaud France. In his current role, Giroud has spearheaded an upturn in performance of Bridgestone EMIA’s retail operations, including significant improvement in end-to-end profitability and defining and implementing a digitalisation strategy.

Speaking on his appointment was Daniel Giroud: “I’m very proud to be promoted to CSO for Bridgestone EMIA and to be leading a first-class team. Daniel will be invaluable as we continue our journey to become a global leader in advanced mobility solutions.”
