Bridgestone Launches New Turanza All Season 6 to Answer Drivers’ Year-Round Challenges

Summary

Bridgestone’s new premium touring all-season tyre prepares drivers to handle year-round stressful conditions with ultimate control.
• Based on comprehensive market research, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 has been developed based on drivers’ input to answer their daily driving challenges.
• The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 offers outstanding braking performance across the seasons1, exceptional snow performance2, and superior mileage3.

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, has today announced the launch of the Turanza All Season 6, its new premium touring all-season tyre featuring ENLITEN Technology. Designed to perform all year round, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 was brought to life on the basis of comprehensive market research with thousands of European drivers on what they expect from an all-season touring tyre and the driving challenges they face.

The launch follows a strong market growth towards all-season tyres witnessed since the launch of the predecessor of the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 in 2018 – with the segment now representing 21% of the European market4. Drivers who do not face severe winter conditions, or who use their cars on treated urban roads, increasingly opt for the convenience of an all-season tyre.

Premium performance, convenience and safety – even in unpredictable conditions
Across the seasons, European drivers face many driving challenges, including rain and snow. The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 has been designed to help drivers to stay in control even in these stressful conditions all year long – no matter the season or the weather conditions.

Specifically, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 excels in three key areas:

  • Outstanding braking performance across the seasons1: According to tests carried out by one of Europe’s most respected independent automotive testing institutes, TÜV SÜD, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 offers best-in-class wet braking and excellent braking performance in dry and snowy conditions alike.
  • Exceptional snow performance2: TÜV SÜD also confirmed the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6’s strong capabilities in terms of snow traction, braking, cornering, and handling – which, along with its 3PMSF marking, ensures it can successfully manage winter challenges.
  • Superior mileage3: the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 demonstrates a 20% improvement compared to its predecessor, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO.

A premium all-season touring tyre, without compromise on performance or safety
The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 has been designed with ENLITEN – a combination of cutting-edge technologies providing maximum safety, outstanding tyre performance and improved sustainability characteristics, while ensuring that Bridgestone tyres are electric vehicle-ready. The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 features an optimised pattern design and a new compound for improved asphalt contact, water evacuation and snow trapping, as well as enhanced performance balance.

Emilio Tiberio, Chief Technical Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Bridgestone EMIA said: "We’ve listened to thousands of drivers across Europe while developing the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6. By gaining a truly comprehensive understanding of the daily driving challenges they face, we are able to continuously expand and improve our product portfolio to answer their needs. Developed in line with the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, the Turanza All Season 6 exemplifies our continuous drive for product innovation, as one of our five new consumer tyres to be launched in 2023 – and this launch is particularly timely as it answers the growing market uptake of all-season tyres in Europe witnessed in the past few years.”

Developed and manufactured in Europe, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 is designed for passenger cars and on-road SUVs, including both electric and gas-powered vehicles. The premium tyre will be available in 85 sizes from 16 to 21 inches, covering 96% of high-rim demand in the touring all season segment.
