As the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 draw closer, Bridgestone are looking to mark the occasion by bringing to life the Prepared to Perform campaign in an exclusive and interactive event. The event saw Bridgestone ambassadors Adam Peaty and Charlotte Worthington share their training methods and race insights alongside ~ Andrea Manenti, Vice President Bridgestone North Europe and Mark England, Team GB Chef de Mission, in a panel discussion hosted by Field Hockey Team GB Olympic Gold medallist from Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Sam Quek.  The event provided guests a taste of the grueling training regime an Olympian undertakes to be prepared to perform, supported by Adam Peaty and Charlotte Worthington.

Top athletes as Bridgestone Ambassadors for Paris 2024

Adam Peaty, OBE, defended his 100m breaststroke title at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, adding two gold and one silver medals to his Olympic medal tally, making him the first British Swimmer in history to defend an Olympic title. As Peaty continues to strive for success representing Team GB in the pool, he will work with Bridgestone UK to reveal what his hard work, dedication and preparation entails, as he prepares for Paris 2024.

On talking about the campaign Peaty said: “I am incredibly excited to be the new ambassador for Bridgestone UK. Being prepared to perform is everything. Making sure you are consistent, making sure you work hard, and making sure you take every opportunity to push yourself is key, because at the Olympic Games you cannot rely on luck, you make that performance every day with the hard working and training.”

Charlotte Worthington, MBE, first competed at the Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020, coming home with the Olympic gold medal in the inaugural Women’s Cycling BMX Freestyle event. In doing so she became the first woman in history to land a 360-degree backflip in a competition, and today has her eye set on breaking a new record at Paris 2024.

Reflecting on the new Bridgestone campaign Worthington said: “Being part of this campaign that shines a light on hard work and preparation is something I hold close to my heart, because as Olympians and athletes we work hard to eliminate any chance of things going wrong and ensure we are always ready to perform when it counts.”

As part of the new ambassador partnership, Adam and Charlotte will be sharing their stories of how they prepare to perform and leave nothing to chance ahead of standing on the start line in Paris.
